Stryker Corporation, which makes medical implants, has announced a temporary recall of its Trident PSL and Trident Hemispherical Acetabular Cups used in hip implants for hip replacement surgery.  Shockingly, Stryker has been faulted by the FDA for shoddy practices, including unsanitary manufacturing conditions. Originally touted as more durable, the Stryker ceramic hip implants have started to squeak and this has caused recipients embarrassment, worry, and anxiety, and may indicate that the joints are deteriorating and could cause serious problems.   Many people with these implants are facing the prospect of extensive secondary surgery to remove and replace the Stryker implants with another brand.  Our firm is presently representing clients with defective Stryker Hip Implant clients in a case against the manufacturer.
